Call for Papers and Posters


April 15-17, 2021

We are now accepting submissions for the 10th annual HÍ Student Conference on the Medieval North which will be held at the University of Iceland April 15-17, 2021. The aim is to create an environment where postgraduate students (MA and PhD level) can present their research projects to an international academic audience and to engage with fellow Early Career Researchers. The conference was established as an interdisciplinary forum for students of Old Norse and Medieval Scandinavia including but not limited to Archaeology, History, (Comparative) Literature, Old Nordic Religion, Linguistics, Editing and Digitization, Manuscript Studies, Gender Studies and Modern Reception Studies.

Abstracts (250-300 words) should be sent to histudentconference@gmail.com by December 5. Papers are limited to 20 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for questions.
