Call for papers We invite 400 abstract contributions for our online conference "Medievalisms in the Screen: The Representation of the Middle Ages in Audiovisual Media in the 21st Century", which will take place between April 20th-May1st 2021. The conference will discuss what are the characteristics and implications of a "medieval" cultural production from a multidisciplinary perspective. We ask for contributions from a broad range of topics and perspectives including, but not limited to accuracy vs. authenticity, national identity and political implications, gender relations in medieval productions, gameplay and procedural rhetoric, global middle ages, among others.
