Call for papers - “Water in the cities ...






Conference: “Water in the cities of North West Europe in the early Middle Ages (4th-12th century). A vector for transforming urban space"



Papers can be submitted on the following topics: the use of water in medieval cities, access to water (by pumping from groundwater or rivers, or using aquaducts),

and commercial usage of water such as fishing, shipping of goods via boat, the use of water mills, and similar.



Papers should be written in French or English; proposals should be submitted before 1 March 2021 and include a title, a summary of c. 300 words and the author's institution.

Registration for the conference costs 20 €, except for students for whom it is free.
