Call for Papers: Old Norse at MLA "Myths, Misreadings, and Misrepresentations of the Scandinavian Middle Ages" Neo-Nazi and White Supremacist groups have recently borrowed themes from medieval Norse and Germanic history, folklore and religion. For example, Aryan Nation has apppropriated the poem "Beowulf". Academics can submit abstracts for papers suggesting how historians and teachers can counter this misuse of history.
